There is a stigma that says that African American males are less likely to graduate high school and even more unlikely to attend college. However my university is doing something to prove this stigma to be inadequate. We graduate more black males than any other school in the state and this is possible because whether or not the world realizes it there are many black males that want to make a difference in their lives and their communities.
We all have dreams of being engineers, doctors, politicians, business owners, attorneys, and scientists and that's why we all work well together when comes to wanting to give memorable college experience for our classmates.
Being some of the most involved members of the class of 2014 has brought us close as friends. We all make impact on campus whether it's the student council, our marching band, recruiting team, our performance troupe, etc.
No matter what happens after we leave our dear old college home I know that our futures are bright.
